The IMPM has set up, with the support of development partners including the IRD, the joint research laboratory on HIV/ADS, CREMER/IMPM/IRD. This laboratory, which serves Cameroon and the countries of the Central Africa sub-region, has a technical platform with a sub-regional vocation for fundamental research and operational research.

10th edition of the scientific start-up at MINRESI

Mr. Nya Ngatchou Jean, Director of Research, retired, honored.

Chaired by Dr Madeleine Tchuinté, Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation, the ceremony took place on Wednesday March 15, 2023 at the esplanade of the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation. This edition was organized against the backdrop of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the event established by Dr Madeleine Tchuinté, Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation. The very first edition was organized in 2013. The usual arrangements were effective in this 10th edition. This is the inaugural lesson delivered masterfully by Professor Eddy Ngonkeu, Lecturer and Technical Advisor number 2 at MINRESI. The theme focused on: “Scientific Research and Innovation: important lever of ‘made in Cameroon’ and the import substitution policy.

The innovation this year was the celebration of the 10th anniversary.

Mr. Nya Ngatchou Jean Research Director was honored by his peers. He is a seasoned researcher, dedicated research administrator and one of the main pioneers in the construction of the National Agricultural Research System in Cameroon, who has worked for almost four decades in the service of the development of scientific research in Cameroon. To his credit numerous publications and numerous researchers trained by him. He is a Knight of the Cameroonian Order of Merit and Commander of the Ivorian Order of National Education Merit.
