Participation of minresi in the first ministerial meeting of the oic-15 dialogue platform Almaty-republic of Kazakhstan from may 25 to 26, 2023
The Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation, Dr Madeleine TCHUINTE took an active part during the first meeting of Ministers of the OIC-15 Platform held in Kazakhstan
From May 25 to 26, 2023, the Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation, Dr Madeleine TCHUINTE participated in the First Ministerial Meeting of the OCI-15 Platform organized in Almaty, Kazakhstan. At the end of these two days of work, the objectives, the Terms of Reference, the procedures as well as the working methods of the platform previously prepared by the team of experts were unanimously adopted.
Prenant la parole devant ses homologues, le Dr Madeleine TCHUINTE les a rassurés « de la disponibilité du Cameroun à contribuer au bon fonctionnement de ladite Plate-forme » en conformité avec les canons de la diplomatie scientifique instruits par le Chef de l’Etat S.E Paul BIYA. Madame le Ministre a également plaidé pour un accompagnement des pays en voie de développement dans la mise en œuvre de l’Agenda 2026 de l’Organisation de la Coopération Islamique (OCI) sur la Science et la Technologie. Cet accompagnement passe notamment par la facilitation du transfert des technologies et des compétences, l’augmentation des financements dédiés à la promotion de la Recherche et de l’Innovation et la stimulation de la mobilité des chercheurs au sein de l’espace islamique, ainsi que la coopération scientifique dans le domaine l’Intelligence artificielle.
La plate-forme OCI-15 est un outil de facilitation et de promotion du partenariat scientifique qui s’inscrit dans le sillage de la Déclaration d’Abu Dhabi adoptée lors du 2ème sommet de l’OCI sur la Science et la Technologie tenu le 16 juin 2021. Composée de 15 pays membres, elle est un dispositif avangardiste visant à soutenir les efforts de développement socio-économique et industriel au sein de l’espace islamique.
Madam the Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation was at the head of a delegation made up of Mr. KOUMA Jean-Cottin, Representative of the Ambassador of Cameroon in Russia, and some of his close collaborators from MINRESI namely: the Head of the Division of Scientific and Technical Cooperation, Dr Christelle Amina DJOULDE and the Head of the Division of Valorization and Popularization of Research Results, Professor Gaston TSOPMBENG.
