The National Committee for the Development of Technologies is a body for coordination, reflection and information on the transfer and development of technologies. The CNDT was created on April 1, 1978 by Presidential Decree No. 78/109 amended and supplemented by Decree No. 82/126 of March 18, 1982.

Its mandate is structured around 5 main missions:

  1. The collection, processing and dissemination of documentation and information both on the development and on the processes for using technologies;
  2. The study of methods of acquiring and adapting technologies;
  3. The inventory and promotion of local technologies;
  4. The choice of foreign technologies likely to contribute effectively to the socio-economic development of Cameroon;
  5. The organization of seminars and conferences relating to technological development.
