Organizing the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation.
THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC,
Given the Constitution,
Having regard to decree n02011/408 of December 9, 2011 on the organization of the Government,
DECREED:
TITLE 1 GENERAL PROVISIONS
Article 1.
(1) The Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation is placed under the authority of a Minister.
(2) The Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation is responsible for the development and implementation of Government policy in the area of scientific research and innovation.
As such, he is responsible for:
- Animation, coordination and control of scientific research activities with a view to promoting economic, social and cultural development;
- The valorization, popularization and exploitation of research results, in liaison with all sectors of the national economy and interested Ministerial Departments and organizations;
- International cooperation in scientific research and innovation, in liaison with the Ministry of External Relations, the Ministry of Higher Education and the administrations concerned; – technological monitoring, in liaison with the administrations concerned;”
- Monitoring research in the field of traditional pharmacopoeias, in liaison with the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministerial Departments concerned.
(3) It supervises the Mission for the Promotion of Local Equipment (MIPROMALO), the National Radioprotection Agency (ANRP) and research institutes, in particular:
- The Institute of Agricultural Research for Development (IRAD); – the Geological and Mining Research Institute (IRGM);
- The Institute of Medical Research and Medicinal Plant Studies (IMPM);
- The National Institute of Cartography (INC).
