The Research Activities Coordination Unit
(1) Placed under the authority of a Unit Head, the Research Activities Coordination Unit is responsible for:
- the harmonization of research activities programming tools;
- coordination of research programs and projects;
- the evaluation of the scientific performance of research organizations under the supervision of the Ministry;
- monitoring the organization and holding of program committees of institutes and research organizations under supervision;
- monitoring the execution of research programs of institutes and research organizations under supervision;
- the promotion and supervision of academies and learned societies; – the drafting of the annual report on the state of research at the national level;
- monitoring activities relating to the implementation of research programs and projects with a view to the development of improved traditional medicines.
(2) It includes, in addition to the Head of Unit, four (04) Assistant Research Officers.
