The Expertise, Innovation Procedures and Regulations Unit

Article 28.- (1) Placed under the authority of a Unit Head, the Expertise, Innovation Procedures and Regulation Unit is responsible for:

• The creation of the national scientific and technological expertise file;
• the development and monitoring of the implementation of the national innovation policy;
• the development of the National Innovation Plan;
• the development of a legislative and regulatory framework favorable to innovation;
• the development of national innovation development and transfer strategies;
• planning, monitoring and controlling the execution of innovation programs;
• drafting the annual national innovation report;
• the definition of procedures aimed at promoting the creation and development of innovative businesses the development of standards, in liaison with the administrations and organizations concerned;
• the codification of innovation programs and projects;
• carrying out analytical and prospective studies allowing the orientation and control of innovations;
• the collection and processing of statistics on national innovations.

(2) It includes, in addition to the Head of Unit, three (03) Assistant Research Officers.
